Gucci and Gavin has now been in their new homes in a week.
They are doing very well, though some pee-stains here and there. Gavin is now staying at Marie Elisberg, who we have known for several years, as she has being attending agility and obedience training with me + she has been babysitting my kids Marie has a sheltie Zadiki almost 6 years old. Gavin has right away got a new play-pal, so eventhough Zadiki has always been a single-dog, he has right away adopted Gavin. At our house Gavin was alos fond of playing with Zico. Marie lives only a couple of hundred meters from our house, so it is a privilege to be able to follow him so closely and the puppies can play with each other.
Gucci is very popular with the kids. If they are relluctant to get out of bed, it is completely different if Gucci wakes them up. Devin controls Gucci very carefully, as he is not yet "melted". Zico has offered to play from day 1, but Gucci thought he was too big in the start, but now he is a real play-uncle.
Gucci is the most lively and daring puppy I have ever got. When I say "no"; because she has got hold of something forbidden - she goes for it again 2 seconds after. She climbs everything, so she MUST be a super agilitydog or mountain-goat.... Fodd does not interest Gucci and yesterday she weighed 2,2 kg - brother weighed 3,7 kg.
An interested buye to Gavin, has come forward, so now we will expect our Christmas to be less "exciting" than if 2 puppies were present around the Christmas tree.
Gucci seems like she will get the size of her mother - and fortunately her temper is still very full off eagerness. She bites our trousers when entering the puppy-playpen.
Gucci weighs nearly 1200 g - Gavin weighs more than 1700 g - 5 weeks old, but
Gavins bone-structure is now thicker than Geenas!!
The puppies are now playing as "real puppies" - fighting for cloths and screeking animals. Gavin usually climes right over Geena when needing to go to her tits, instead of walking around her. Gavin is still the fat puppy, Gucci starts to watch her figure:-) They tried their new collars today and as expected Gavin took it OK - he tried to get it of and it itched, but Gucci started to scream! After a while though they both fell to sleep with them on.
A lot has happened with the puppies in the week past (since the last photos). They are playing with each other and with us persons. We have started "clickertraining" this week. Both puppies has the "famous" Ophian-"growling" when petted and teased.
Gavin is the fattest puppy we have ever had: 1200+ grams 3 weeks and 2 days old - he has actually rolls of fat in the neck:-) Gucci weighs 852 grams and looks like a real lady - but is not!
Both puppies has a lot of energy - and Gavins new family must be well-equipped to handle his energy (I am prepared as Gucci seems quite eager, too).
The puppies has finally got their names (decided on the very last day). It was not the male that caused the problems but the bitch .- as the name had to be "perfect" (as she would be our dog) and still starts with a G, which was a contradiction!
I ended up with having voting over 7 names among my colleagues and they selected her name.
We decided on:
the male: Ophian Gavin Goodspeed - calling name Gavin.
-The film "the Rock" with Sean Connery the FBI agent is called Stan Goodspeed, but it also mean Good luck
the bitch: Ophian Giggly Gucci Go-getter - calling name Gucci
-Gucci was the "winner" in my voting and my husband also liked it the best. We hope the go-getter nature will follow her, then she will be a real "Aiki".
Gucci got her eyes first, and she uses them a lot and she is also the one that tries to break out of the "crib". I had to put them in the "playpen" 1 week earlier than normal, because they wanted to get out all the time.

Geena gave birth to 2 pups -she was mated with Bozo again. First a male pup arrived; 205 grams (our biggest pup ever - like Aiki). A wide collar to the left side.
We were not disappointed but really hoped that a bitch would arrive, too. Only half an hour late that came true, a bitch 175 grams, very dark and with a collar to the left, one sable and one white front leg.
It seems like both of them has a temper like Findus (screaming and showing their dissappointment at once something is not following their minds) I hope it continues so I can get a "new Aiki".

Findus was the small pup and sold to Sabine Phillips (Bozos owner) and the big pup - Fabi - to my colleague Lone Wilken.

At the sheltieday in August Findus became 2nd. best male-baby in show and both puppies got "excellent" from Charlotte Høier, authorized judge for shelties.
It is still the same pup which is the big one and the small one. Though each of them follows the curves of other pups bred by us. The small one follows Enzo, the big one Devin. My feeling is also that the big one is very much like Devin in both type and looks (but no star unfortunately).
The pups has got names:
Ophian Focus On Findus - calling name Findus
Ophian Fabulous Fabi - calling name Fabi
But we still do not know who is who.

Both puppies are sold. The owner of the proud father will buy one - the other goes to a colleague of mine.

Geena gave birth to 2 puppies to night - unfortunately both males (so no puppy for me this time)
Daddy is our own breeding: "DKLPCH DKAGCH DKSPCH Ophian Bronze Bozo" - almost 13 years old and litter brother to our lovely Bon Jovi
Bozo is though much more beautiful and has several "certifcate quality" prizes at shows.

What a joy "Sheltie of the year 2002" is our beautiful Devin AGAIN (he had the honour last in 1998).
