8 weeks old today - 2 males and 1 female pup not sold yet. But the time around Christmas is not the best - everybody is busy with the family.
Almost 3 weeks old Devin and Bella puppies has opened their eyesseveral days ago, are starting to play with each other and has been named. Their weights is now between approx. 600-850 grams. Their names are:
The bitches: Isabella (they only one with a collar), Isidora (the dark bitch)
The males: Isak (the smallest pup with a white spot in the neck) , Indiana
Jones (no white markings), Isildur (the fair), Ivanhoe (the dark with a
spot in the forehead + white spot in the neck)
Today Devin's grandchildren (!) is 8 weeks old. The mother is Devins daughter "Eikica Cute Sunshine" (Cutie) and she gave birth to 4 puppies on September 8th 2001. Cuties owner and breeder, Bente Bøckhaus, keeps a bitch, "Eikica Exellent Golden Eikkito" (Eikkito) for her self. Eikkito's name is constructed of Eikki (Devin's great great great grandmother) and the Danish word for 2 (=to). Eikki (no. 1) was one of the first bitches that Bente was breeding on - founding kennel Eikica. Our Aiki was also named after her - giving her credit as she was a very eager working sheltie - the first sheltie obedience champion in Denmark!
Devin became father agian last night. The mother is "Bella" (Poulsgaards Belle Ami), which he earlier had 5 puppies with (Oct.10th, 2000).
This time they got 6 puppies!! Bella takes care of them with her usual tender and love and they are well nurised almost 1 day old.
Alle are sable/white, 2 bitches (on approx. 140-150 g) and 4 dogs (160-180 g and 1 pup in 110 g). The white markings are very limited in this litter and only one bitch has a white collar (almost full).
To day we had to take the hard decision and put Aiki down. She had pain, and we didn't mean we were able to give her a dignifying life with more medicine or new tests. Read more on Aiki's homepage.
Rocky has participated in a puppy class under supervision of Annette. He looks like this now:
We only went to the airport to fetch this new member of the kennel. A baby-bride for Devin - imported from Finland.
She is born 31/3-2001 at Kennel Sunsweet by Marita Axi, Porvoo, Finland - her fuln name is: Sunsweet Geena Davis, but we call her Geena.
She has a brilliant temper, as she handled very well to be flown from Finland in a small cage all alone. When Annette wanted to dry her feet in a towel, as she was just taken out from it, she started to bite the towel! Geena has her own homepage
The Dalgaard-klan was this day extended with another "puppy" - this time a 2-legged one.
May 12th at 18:00 Annette gave birth to a baby girl on 4130 grams and 55 cms. Like her brother she had long, curly, dark brown hair, but fortunately she was more feminine. Her eyes are not clear blue like her brothers, but instead green/blue/grey and very dark.

Only in june her parents agreed on the name Naija. (The most common spelling of this name: "Naja" means "little sister" in Greenland language).
Zoya and Rocky almost 8 weeks old
4 weeks old and now able to play in the house. Rocky can even climb stairs now.
Rocky is sold and Alice and Kurt keeps Zoya for themselves.
1 week old and looking good. Will Zoya with her markings and full collar look like Daddy?! Rocky has not got a full collar.
2 puppies - 1 male and 1 bitch (both sable) has been born with Alice and Kurt Ranker at their sheltie Zobella Golden Miss Montana (Nellie) and Devin as the father.
The birth weights were 181 grams for the male and 270 grams for the bitch.
Devin became a father again to 5 puppies. This time theiy are in Svendborg, which have made it impossible for us to get pictures of them.
3 bitches (2 tricolour and 1 sable) and 2 males (1 tricolour and 1 sable - both with full collars).
The Mum is LP1 LP2 BRGPR Troldeskovs Black Easy, a tricolour bitch with common ancestors like my old Ofie, which made the combination extra interesting.
